Save your Hy-Vee Receipts to earn money for Linn Grove! It’s so easy to rack up money for our school so ask friends and family to help too.
All receipts count! Use your local Hy-Vee for grocery shopping, catering needs, concession stands, celebrations, school parties and more!
$1 is earned for every $200 spent. It adds up fast! In 2013 we raised $918.70, in 2014 it was $1733.89, we made just a little more in 2015 with $1744.71 and really raised it last year with a total of $1824.27. So let’s set a goal of $2,000 for then 2016/2017 school year, I know we can do it and just maybe there will be a school wide prize for hitting our goal!
Turn in Location:
You can drop off receipts anytime to the office or in the collection bin inside the front door of the school, just look for the Hy-Vee Receipt basket. Please send them in an envelope marked Hy-Vee receipts or a baggie.

Thank you to everyone who has been turning in receipts and Hy-Vee for continuing this wonderful program.

Did you know that Linn Grove collects pull tabs (aka pop tabs) to donate to Ronald McDonald House Charities?
Collecting the pull tabs from cans is an easy and fun way to support the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois.
The pull tabs collected at the Ronald McDonald House of Iowa City are shipped to a recycling center for processing. RMHC of Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois receives the money from the recycling center based on how many pounds of pull tabs get delivered.
Annually the pull-tab collection program generates over $14,000 to support services for the families and children that RMHC of Eastern Iowa & Western Illinois serves. Every pull-tab saved helps!
The idea for a Ronald McDonald House began in Philadelphia in 1973, when Fred Hill, a member of the Philadelphia Eagles football team, learned that his three year old daughter, Kim, had leukemia. The Eagles organized fundraising efforts to assist Kim's, as well as other children's, fight against leukemia. During the course of these efforts, the idea of a 'home-away-from-home' where out-of-town families could stay during their child's hospital treatment was born.
So save those pop tabs, put them in a Ziploc bag and drop them off at the collection center inside the front doors at Linn Grove. Want to learn more about RMHC, go to http://rmhc-eiwi.org/ and read more about what you can do to help and the amazing stores of families helped by Ronald McDonald House. Remember all tabs count, tabs from pop cans, soup cans, fruit cans, energy drink cans and so many more.
“ Staying at the house was a blessing for us as it gave us a home away from home filled with a caring staff and volunteers. Quinn enjoyed the meals brought by the volunteers, the playroom, the library, the special holiday events, and walks in the neighborhood around the House. Quinn also loved to visit with the staff and volunteers and always made sure they didn’t forget he was a Cyclone. At a time in our life filled with uncertainty of the future, our stay at Ronald McDonald House of Iowa City allowed us to focus our attention on Quinn. Whenever we visit RMH of Iowa City, it’s like we are coming home, as all of our wonderful memories from our stay at RMH return. The Ronald McDonald House is truly a home filled with love. - THE BOYLSTON FAMILY Eddie, Terri, Orion & Payton “
Please contact the Linn Grove PTO at email@example.com for any questions, Jessie Venables Jesse is our corrdinator who takes all our pop tabs to Iowa City for Linn Grove.
